Before shifting toward real-time, mobile-friendly design, my work leaned heavily on high-poly modeling and cinematic renders. This section is a look back at those earlier times — to where it all began. A different pace, but a big part of how I got here. It was during this phase that I quickly discovered I had a knack — and a feel — for creating realistic PBR materials.
My first lifelike model. The one that fuels all others — our noble espresso machine, master of the dark arts.
The iconic fruit bowl; an exercise served as an introduction to physically based rendering on organic materials. It challenged my understanding of realism — and it left me hungry for more.
An honorary mention: the very first animated short I created entirely on my own. It’s missing sound and could use some polish —submission deadlines will do that— but not every piece needs a director’s cut to tell its story.
